Pampered Chef Party!

I will be hosting a Pampered Chef Party on Wednesday, the 30th at 7:00pm. All of my friends that read this blog are invited!! I will hand out invitations to those I see at church tomorrow, but for anyone else who wants to come or just place an order, you'll know how to contact me! Pretty Flowers from Glenn!

Sometimes life gets going so fast that Glenn and I seem to do this dance where we get things accomplished and take care of things that come our way, but because of our different schedules, we seldom do them together. It's like we get on the same road side-by-side and only glance at each other once and a while. So, imagine my surprise when Glenn brought home some beautiful flowers just for me!! It was wonderful! He's the best man that I could ever hope for and I appreciate him so much!!

(Of course Maryn asked if we could share the flowers because we're both "girls"- and I said yes! So she was so excited!)

Beth and Mindy!!

So much has been going on this week!! My sister, Beth, came down with her kids at the same time that my friend Mindy came with her kids!! On Monday, Mindy went to Knott's with her kids so I could spend time with my sister. We met our sis-in-law, Sara at my gma's house and took all of the kids swimming. It was so good to see her again!! She's pregnant with her 3rd now. We usually are lucky to see each other twice a year. I love her so much and she means so much to me! Her daughter was pretty sick so that's why she's unhappy in the pic.

Mindy and I had the best time together!! She was such a good sport about my hectic schedule. While her kids were on spring break, Charles wasn't, so I had to run around and such. Wednesday night we got to go to another friend's house for our girl's only game night. That is always fun! On Thursday she took her kids to Disneyland with her mom and it worked out well because Charles ended up being sick. We stayed home and Charles slept all day! He was feeling better that night so we went ahead and went to Sea World on Friday. But all of these activities weren't the reason we had so much fun, it was the simple fact that we have a blast no matter what we do!! Just playing cards or sitting at the park or the beach, makes the best memories. Thanks my friend!!

I have so much more to write, but I'll do that throughout the week! This is just the brief catch-up.

Good Wife in Training?

Maryn just may be training to be the best wife ever! Besides the fact that she absolutely loves babies and taking care of them, she loves to take care of everyone else too. Most of the time, this can turn into being very bossy at times. But today, I was in the shower when Maryn came in to go to the bathroom. She left and a couple of minutes later she came in again and was by the toilet. I asked her what she was doing over there and she told me that she was putting the seat up so Charles can go to the bathroom when he gets home from school! She surprises me sometimes by being so thoughtful- but it did make me chuckle a little!

Crazy, the Guinea Pig!

We wanted to introduce you all to our new pet, Crazy. He's a young guinea pig we purchased yesterday. Charles has wanted a guinea pig for nearly a year now and we keep promising him one and it never worked out. So, after we picked up Maryn from preschool, we were driving past Petco and Charles really wanted to stop and look around. We had nothing to do, so we enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the animals. Of course, Charles fell in love with the guinea pigs and wanted to hold one. The worker lady got the one down that Charles picked out and that was it! Next thing I know we were shopping for a cage, food, hay, vitamins, etc. The cage was the best deal ever! We got a brand new $130 cage on clearance for $32! Well little Crazy is a joy! He was named for his "crazy hair"! We've spent hours playing with him and watching him. Charles even read him books last night and would stop after every page to show Crazy all the pictures. It was so cute. Of course Maryn had to read him a book too! We are so happy to have our first pet ever!

Iguana Eyes!

Tonight we went over to my brothers house to visit and play his new Wii. We went out to Red Robin for dinner and had so much fun seeing my niece "K". She's so cute and tiny- not even 20 lbs. yet, but she talks so much! Anyway, they have an iguana in their living room that fascinates Charles and Maryn. Today Charles kept asking me to go look at the iguana. I tried to tell him that I could see him just fine, but he insisted that I come and look at the iguana's eyes. I told him again that I could see the iguana's eyes from where I was sitting. He kept studying the iguana's eyes very closely and asked me again to come closer. So I did. He was so excited because he said the iguana's eyes looked just like mine! He was so amazed that we had the same eyes! I was speechless- what is the "good mom" response to that? So, according to my son, I have iguana eyes!!
